CLOTHING CLOSET
SALVATION ARMY, METROPOLOITAN MINISTRIES & COMMUNITY
The clothing closet for Emmanuel is opened on the 2nd Saturday every month as a ministry that reaches out to the overflow of the local organizations such as Salvation Army. We go to where the homeless and displaced frequent, offering the gift of Christ. This gift starts with them being met where they are (usually on the streets of Tampa) and then escorted by foot back to the church. They are then offered the Word of God and the gift of salvation. Immediately following they are given a light meal and an invitation to take what they need or desire from the clothing closet. Our guests are then invited to continue with us at regular church services and encouraged to bring a friend. We solicit and welcome any socks, blankets or clothing donations to share with our needy community.
FRIDAY MIDDAY SERVICE
EMMANUEL MB CHURCH
Emmanuel has been compelled to reach out to the discouraged, and displaced in the community. We have established a Midday Service every Friday Noon to 1pm to provide a Spiritual uplift , with scripture reading and encouraging music. Followed by a material and physical uplift with a midday meal, and visit to the clothing closet. We make this appeal first to the House hold of Faith, and outreach to our elderly community, and the homeless. Through the Vision Emmanuel ministry, and its volunteers we are committed to the task. As such we invite you to come and feel the presence of God and expression of His love through our service to Him.
COMMUNITY FAIR
METROPOLITAN MINISTRIES & COMMUNITY
Emmanuel Partners with Metropolitan Ministries on the last Tuesday of every month at their community fair. In Tampa we assist to provide additional Christian support for displaced mothers and their children. We are one of the only Churches that participate and provide, Bibles, Christian tracts, Prayer and support at the event. Our members are committed and on post each opportunity we get to assist in this event. It is our prayer in partnership to provide any of God's children more than a hand out, but a hand up!
